Wow I’ve been so busy since those shows that I didn’t get a chance to enter anything about them until today.
The AEE (often called AVN ) show was very consumer oriented this year. Unless you’re pushing DVD’s or a die-fan there’s not a lot to attend for anymore. I didn’t bother going to the awards, it’s kind of like the oscars - unless you’re nominated or recieiving an award - it’s a waste of a perfectly good Saturday night.
Internext was great this year.
First up I want to thank John of John G Models World for sponsoring my pass this year. John is a really great guy with some fantastic ideas - we may very well be collaborating on a new concept in the very near future - though for now it’s theme is top secret…. I like leaving everyone in suspense!!!
This year was great for me because unlike previous years when I have been exhibiting or booked up on shoots, I went in with no plans - and decided this was a great opportunity to catch up on what I have been missing out on during the past year by attending the seminars. A lot of webmasters think of internext as a party & networking fest… but I gotta say, if you don’t go to the seminars you’re missing out!!! Amongst topics this year were “The next generation of users” , Piracy issues/prevention , and of course 2257.
During one seminar luncheon break, I ran into an old aquaintance from Australia - Annie, webmistress of GirlsOutWest.com. It turns out that Annie is one of only a handful of people who have any of my ‘vintage’ content. She had shot me in the ONLY scene I shot with ex-husband Firehorse and even more amazingly it was shot in Tasmania. Annie told me that even now, years later it’s still one of the top downloaded videos on the site, month after month. I’ve never actually seen the final edit myself.. so I must remember to ICQ Annie for a pass!
It was great to catch up with some great ppl I have known for many years and haven’t seen in a long long time.
Here’s a pic of me with long time friends (L-R) Good Girl & Baddog of Got Web Host and Aaron Matthews of Atomic Web Works.

And I had lots of fun taking this pic - this is me with Lady Mischief of Home Grown Video

The venue being the palms was interesting, I liked the use of Rain nightclub as the show floor because it was much more intimate and it was more netowrking oriented this year - no the tradition “expo” style. From what I gathered talking to others who attended, the newbs were not so keen on the venue - I think largely due to the fact they had a pre-conceived idea if what the show should be based on what they may have seen online of previous shows. For us old-schoolers who have been around a long time - the idea of small and personal is a much better format.. we’ve progressed beyond the “Girls doing shows on poles in the booths’ and Hummer giveaways in the showfloor… those kind of gimmicks are best left to the AEE show
I must say though that living in Vegas does make it less of an “event” to attend the show, and I am really looking forward to being at Internext Florida in the summer.. I’ll get a chance to wear my bikini
